Intro / Body
This is the UK sponsor licence list — the full official register of organisations licensed to sponsor overseas workers, made searchable. The register is published by the Home Office on GOV.UK and we mirror it here every day; our copy was last synced 06 November 2026 and currently holds 143,053 organisations. If a company is not on this list, it cannot sponsor your visa — whatever an agent, an advert or even the company itself claims. If it is on the list, it can sponsor: whether it will, for your role, is the next question, and that is what the rest of this site is for.
Read the register properly and it tells you four things about every sponsor: its legal organisation name (often different from the brand you know), its town and county, the immigration route it is licensed for (for example Skilled Worker), and its rating — A-rated sponsors are fully compliant; a B rating means the sponsor is working to an action plan and is a weaker bet. Two things the register does not tell you: the sponsor licence number (it is not published — anyone "checking your number" publicly is inventing a service), and whether the company is hiring. FAQs
Q: Is this the official sponsor licence list? A: The data is the official register published by the Home Office on GOV.UK, mirrored and refreshed daily — the sync date is shown above the table. GOV.UK remains the authoritative source; this page exists to make the same data searchable and to connect it to live jobs.
Q: A company told me it can sponsor me but it is not on the list. What should I do? A: Do not proceed and do not pay anything. Either the company is mistaken, its licence is under a different legal name (search the name on its contract or Companies House record), or it cannot sponsor you. The checker page explains the name-matching steps.
Q: What does the rating column mean? A: A-rated sponsors meet the Home Office's compliance standards. B-rated sponsors have been downgraded and must follow an action plan; they can still sponsor in many cases, but an A rating is the safer signal. The register-explained guide covers this in full.
